On today's follow-up article

"Details on the type of pie were sketchy, though conflicting reports have the pie as either banana cream or chocolate cream"

Does it matter? I guess it does. In retrospect, before reading this article, I read on the other paper that the pie was chocolate cream. My first thought after reading that was "But I thought it was a banana cream pie???"

Anyway, the premier says he did not see the event unfold, adding, "I had my eyes on the pancakes -- and continued to keep them there."

Pie plotters fall short

“She held up her pie. She said, ‘I've got this pie for you, premier — remember the pie?' She made clear and identified to everybody it was a pie — nothing else but a pie."

Obey the rules!

That's from a memorable Simpsons episode showing Canadian vandals spraying graffiti saying "Obey the rules!" It's a parody on the supposed simple and peaceful Canadian people.

Here's the cherry on top... In Canada, they hire security to protect people not from assassins or kidnappers but from pies :P Apparently, the security was "ready for (the pie-thrower)" and they were "on high alert for pie throwers."
